Crappie

The crappie are back on the fall/winter pattern. They are holding in deep water up to 25 foot deep. I have found that most of the fish are in about 12 to 25 foot of water  suspended from 12 to 20 foot down from the surface. 1/8 oz. jigs in black, chartruce, and grey are all good on different days with different wave and light conditions. catches of 30 to 50 keepers per person are about the normal daily catch. When the bite is real slow or the wind limits the places to fish i have had to resort to minnows to keep the bite going. The fish seem to be biting through out the day with the early and late  times of low light being best. Fish seem to move out of deep water as the day progresses and hold on the bottom in 12 to 14 foot of water along the channels.

White Bass

Schools of whites are just about all over the lake. Although it may take some looking to find the schools of larger fish. Look along the river channel  on points and flats in the big bends of the channel. Humps and ridges where they can ambush shad are good places to find some of the larger fish. Jigging spoons, tailspins, rattletraps, and small crank baits are all working just as well depending on the depth the fish are at. I have found fish from 20 up to 8 foot deep on the bottom and rising to the top to bust shad passing by. The action seems to pick up during the day and peak just before sunset. no problem filling your limit of whites any day weather permits.

Black Bass

Bass are slow on the north end of the lake right now. some fish on Carolina rigged lizards and crank baits on points near deep water. I have had to go south to some of the main feeder creeks  and flats with grass to find consistent catches of legal bass.  fishing grass in the 8 to 12 foot  deep range seems to be the best bet for numbers of fish. I have had good luck on spinner baits, rattletraps, medium depth crank baits, and Carolina rigs.

Good luck!!
